SCHOOL OF THE ART INSTITUTE
OF CHICAGO T-SHIRTS
client: School of the Art Institute of Chicago
work: concept, illustration, design
Three promotional T-shirts printed for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago's Admissions Department.
The shirt designs were based on motifs from screenprints I had done (design elements that were requested by the client), and were adapted to express the school's educational philosophy. I worked with the concept of a box or frame, and moving inside and outside of that delineated space. This functioned as a visual expression of the school's curricular structure: a rigorous first-year core program within an environment that fosters interdisciplinary work and education.
